RONDOUT VALLEY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Assistant Principal at Rondout Valley High School.
Qualifications: New York State Certification, SBL or SAS and SED Fingerprint Clearance
Salary: Per Contract
General Responsibilities: The Assistant Principal assists the Principal with the organization, administration and supervision of all activities connected with the school.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A successful record of experience as an instructional leader;
- A track record of successfully improving learning experiences for students and enhancing home/school communication;
- Knowledge of current research-based practices and programs for teaching, learning, student support, assessment and data analysis;
- A strong ability to work with all aspects of building leadership, while working well under pressure;
- A commitment to character education and other programs to enhance students' educational and social/emotional growth;
- A knowledge of restorative and trauma-informed practices when handling student discipline;
- A skillful communicator with a sense of humor.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent.
