RONDOUT VALLEY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Special Education Coordinator (Pre-K to Grade 6)
Qualifications: NYS School District Administrator (SDA); NYS School District Leader (SDL); NYS School Administrator Supervisor (SAS); Experience as a CPSE/CSE chair; experience providing special education services to students with disabilities. Excellent communication skills are a must. Ability to work well with parents, students, teachers, and administrators. Knowledge of Part 200 Regulations. Master’s degree in special education or related field.
Salary: - Per Contract
General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for chairing/facilitating CPSE/CSE meetings for in and out of district placements;
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Monitors and assures adherence to SED regulations governing procedures for referral, evaluations, IEP development, and placement and review of students;
- Appropriate reporting (STAC forms) and assisting the Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services in gathering data for other SED and Federal reports, as needed.
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
