Rondout Valley Central School District seeks a collaborative and proactive Behavior Analyst to support students’ behavioral and sensory needs across both special education and general education settings. The Behavior Analyst will design and implement individualized, data-driven interventions and serve as an essential member of school-based teams dedicated to fostering positive, inclusive learning environments. This is a district-wide position. However, the primary assignment will be at the district’s two elementary schools.
Position Type: Full-time, 10 months
Location: District-wide (Primary assignment at Kerhonkson and Marbletown Elementary Schools)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3:40 p.m.
Salary: Per Contract
General Responsibilities:
Student Support and Intervention
• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with IEP goals.
• Design, implement, and monitor evidence-based behavioral and sensory support strategies.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Collaboration and Training
• Coach staff and families in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and proactive behavior support strategies.
• Provide consultation and modeling to teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators.
• Prepare behavioral documentation, progress summaries, and reports.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance student outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain current best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA, BCBA-D, or BCaBA).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• At least two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with special needs.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience conducting FBAs and developing behavior support plans.
• Valid NYSED fingerprint clearance.
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent for Student Support Services
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
