RONDOUT VALLEY CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking applicants for a full-time Choral and General Music (grades K-3) Teacher at Marbletown Elementary School and Kerhonkson Elementary School. The Rondout Valley School District has been named a “Best Community for Music Education” for the last eight years. We are seeking a dynamic teacher who enjoys working with young students and is committed to helping strengthen and grow the District’s outstanding K–12 music program.
The successful candidate will:
- Possess a strong level of musicianship
- Possess a repertoire of classroom management strategies
- Have knowledge of healthy voice production for children
- Have a collaborative approach to music education
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
- Help students become excited about music, singing, and performing
Qualifications:
- Required: New York State Certification, Music, SED Fingerprint Clearance.
- Preferred: A background in Kodály, Orff or Gordon is preferred but not required.
Salary: Per Contract
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am-3:40pm
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the direct report and/or Superintendent.
