The Rondout Valley Central School District is seeking a full-time Assistant Principal at Rondout Valley Middle School.  This dynamic position offers an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated educational leader to support student achievement, foster a positive school culture, and collaborate with a committed team of educators and families. 
 
Qualifications: New York State Certification, SBL or SAS and SED Fingerprint Clearance
 
Salary: Per Contract
 
General Responsibilities: The Assistant Principal supports the Principal in the organization, administration, and supervision of instructional programs, school operations, and student services.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate: 

• A proven record of instructional leadership
• A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered learning
• Success in improving student outcomes and strengthening home–school communication
• Experience implementing research-based practices in instruction, student support, and data-informed decision-making
• The ability to collaborate effectively with staff while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience with restorative and trauma-informed approaches to student discipline
• A commitment to character education and social-emotional development
• A collaborative mindset and positive sense of humor

Other Duties: Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent/designee.
